The Anderson AFS 568 PRO combines servo-controlled finishing, a continuous top feed belt and a closed PUR/EVA adhesive system. For cabinet and furniture manufacturers running different edge thicknesses, its main attraction is controlled setup across the trimming and finishing units, supported by a complete automatic edging sequence.

Working units and changeovers
The AFS 568 PRO prepares the panel with a servo-positioned infeed fence, diamond pre-milling and infrared edge heating. Adhesive is supplied by a plunger through a heated hose to the glue head. This enclosed PUR/EVA system replaces a conventional glue pot.
A continuous upper belt applies pressure as the panel passes through the machine. The finishing sequence includes end trimming, servo multi-radius trimming and scraping, corner rounding, floating flat scraping and buffing.
- Servo radius settings: trimming and radius scraping adjust for 1 mm, 1.5 mm and 2 mm edging. These finishing settings are separate from the machine’s overall edge-tape thickness range.
- Operator controls: a Windows PC touchscreen provides machine control, with an internal pendant touchscreen for access to servo-unit settings.
- Panel handling: the top belt provides continuous pressure, including for delicate and high-gloss panels.
- Daily production features: automatic thickness positioning, timed lubrication and cleaning sprays are included in the published configuration.
For mixed batches, ask to see a changeover using your usual board and edging. Check the first-piece finish, repeatability and operator steps rather than estimating savings from feed speed alone.
Key specifications
- Panel thickness: 10–60 mm
- Minimum panel size: 60 mm wide and 120 mm long
- Edge-tape thickness: 0.4–3 mm
- Feed speed: 18–23 m/min
- Electrical supply: 415 V, 50 Hz, three phase
- Working air pressure: 0.6–0.8 MPa
- Approximate machine dimensions: 6,815 × 900 × 1,700 mm
These figures are from the AFS 568 PRO product page and specification download, checked on 18 October 2026. Confirm the supplied configuration and suitability of your smallest parts, materials and edge profiles when requesting a quote.
Compare the AFS models
AFS 243: compact automatic edging
The AFS 243 combines PC touchscreen control, diamond pre-milling, EVA/PUR-compatible quick-melt glue and a full finishing sequence. Its published panel thickness range is 10–45 mm, minimum width 65 mm and feed speed 8–12 m/min; corner rounding runs at 8 m/min. It uses a roller-type pressure beam and two-position finishing for 1 mm and 2 mm edging.
AFS 559-40: narrow components
The AFS 559-40 handles panels from 40 mm wide and 120 mm long, with 10–60 mm thickness. Published feed settings are 15, 18 and 20 m/min. It combines EVA/PUR-compatible quick-melt glue with pneumatic two-position fine trimming, corner rounding and radius scraping.
AFS 568 PRO: servo finishing and top belt
Choose this model for a closer assessment when servo radius adjustment, continuous top-belt pressure and enclosed adhesive delivery match your production needs. Its 60 mm minimum panel width is wider than the AFS 559-40’s 40 mm capability, so include your narrowest components in the comparison.
Plan your installation
Allow for panel loading, outfeed support, operator access and maintenance clearance as well as the machine footprint. Confirm electrical supply, compressed air, extraction requirements and any return-system integration with the proposed configuration.
Plan suitable source extraction for wood dust and adhesive fumes with the machine supplier and a competent extraction specialist. Follow the machine documentation for operation, adhesive handling, cleaning and lubrication. Use trained operators and the site’s guarding and energy-isolation procedures. For extraction planning, see WorkSafe Victoria’s wood-dust control guidance and confirm the requirements applying at your site.
Discuss your work with Anderson
